Glean (Chinese name: 亘乐日记) is a lightweight AI journaling app: jot down a sentence or a thought, AI generates daily summaries and weekly/monthly reviews, and all data stays on your device. Runs as a WeChat Mini Program, bilingual, core features free.
Does AI write my diary for me?
No. AI is a mirror for reflection, not a ghostwriter: polishing, daily summaries, reviews and focused dialogs all build on what you have already written.
When does AI read my diary?
Only when you explicitly trigger it (or enable the auto daily summary). Supports BYOK — you choose the AI provider.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device — no account system, no server-side database. Only weather lookups and AI calls touch the network.
Is cloud backup safe?
Yes, and it is opt-in: zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption (PBKDF2 key derivation, AES-256-CTR, HMAC), passwords and keys never leave your device; keeps the latest 3 copies.
Is it free?
Core features are free: journaling, AI summaries, reviews, plant nurturing and badges.
How do I start?
Open WeChat → search “亘乐日记” → enter the Mini Program. No install needed.
What languages are supported?
Chinese and English, switching automatically with your system language.
Is there an Android / iOS app?
The primary form today is the WeChat Mini Program; a standalone Android package is in preparation and will be downloadable from this site.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing. Your plant only pauses, never withers — no streak alerts, no leaderboards, no penalty.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Export plain-text JSON anytime to WeChat Favorites or File Transfer — data you can actually read and take with you.
What is the MBTI persona sensing?
Persona signals accumulate locally on your device as you write; only when you ask in a dialog will AI answer, based on evidence from your own entries. The profile never leaves your device.
